Yes he made a mistake. But have you consider yourself in his shoes? All people see is him doing wrong, but ignores what happened prior. It's like arriving at a crime scene, seeing him holding a knife and a person lying dead next to him. He could be verbally abused, humiliated, threatened to the point he snapped.
Okay, you asked the accused to narrate what happened, but you're not having an open mind by being so defensive. You are not allowing a fair discussion. You made accused kept mum because everything he said will be nuanced and retaliated. He needs someone to speak up in his position. And now you are angry because someone speaks up and 'sided' him.
Yes, I offended you. But I see no wrong because all I see is everyone clamping down on one person and interrogated him like CIA.

Yes, he is wrong, but so do you.
