My apologies for those who PMed me in early 2013 regarding the interview that I posted 2 years back. I did not know about the message till minutes earlier when I was roaming the facebook on the laptop (one of the rare occasions) and happened to explored the functions and saw the unread messages sent by people out of my friend list.

I was asked by my auntie during the CNY visits whether I have changed my job because she heard from my mum about the success interview previously. She was rather perplexed (she had the 'awww...' look)) why the decision is so if I had cleared such a difficult interview. I had the bitter feeling inside while I explained the rationality due to exams.

Hence, to round things up, I didn't take up the offer and I'm still practicing dental hygiene.

I am applying for a conversion of my practicing license, one which you can 'upgrade' after working for 5 years. If things goes well, it'll be through and there'll be more lax in terms of practicing.

With the skills and license, its a lifelong meal ticket which you can depend on should you decided to take an interim break. Though confidence tends to dip without practice but it'll all come back in due time.

Wages, benefits have been status quo since I joined this company, for going 3 years. No bonus, recognition or chance of promotion. I am losing faith in the environment, the principles of doing good for the community. It can barely sustain the reason why I am staying, both on the micro and macro level. It is not just the placement but the recognition of  our service in the entire community, it is repressive, depressing with the restrictive and unforgiving laws.

I am tired from the stresses coming in all directions, from management, returns, patients, ad-hoc duties (training assistants, staff on websites, replying emails in future which are not taken in consideration for year end appraisal and bonus) school, assignments, tests, revision, exams. 

I have to find the right time to let go.

Giving up is not a sign of weakness, but bravery to be able to let go.
