14-08-12' Outburst of emotions
Witnessed an emotional outburst from a special needs teen in Pathlight School. He plugged his ears with his fingers and screamed, apparently in distress. He kicked 2 chairs and flipped a table. The security officer of the mall conscientiously trailed behind, feared that any gestures might stir further emotions in him. It was overwhelming. The teen raised his fist in the face of the security but retracted after 5 seconds. It led me thinking, 'I want to discard the social norms, etiquette and all concern eyes and curious heads. Let me have a good outburst too'. Its not just for the case of special needs. If people were to have or able to seek more outlets for 'ventilations', that would prevent an individual from bottling up enormous stress bottling up and going down the path of depression. Besides drawing, screaming in sirens, writing blogs,I need anti-depressants. Maybe it all started with my mom 'reminding' me of my responsibilities of planning the future of this current flat, their future apartment, my school fees, my school work progress, my work sales target, fear of unable to travel because of work & school schedules, finance management. That was the reason I would want to avoid small talks with her, with it always ending with big questions I don't have answers to.
