07-03-08` - 09-03-08` bintan trip

this is on the bintan trip!

starting off. we missed our ferry because we are not able to rush to tanah merah ferry terminal on time (me and my aldo warehouse sale; bian and his blur blur directions). we waited 3 hours for the next ferry and trust me on that, its not an easy wait when there is nothing but little shops for the travellers to pick some last minute sanitary items.

we stayed at Angsana resort and spa, which is an associate of Banyan tree. the door lock gave us a hell of problem. we can't do much but request to change to another room.

we had grilled bbq buffet by the hotel beach. 2 thumbs up for the ambience, 1 thumb for the food.

we had a back body massage at the spa. the service is excellent, absolutely a luxury.

the next morning we went to pasar oleh oleh (market place), direct factory outlet (my favorite!).

pasar oleh oleh. where u can find tons of lv, gucci bags which the authenicity remains unknown. haha.

factory outlet, the bundung d.f.o. is a place for branded bargain buys. u can find brands like tommy hilgfier, abercrombie, bebe, hugo, blah blahs.

we went to the elephant park for elephant show and rides. awesome experience with riding an elephant! i can feel 1/2 of my butt slipping off its body as it moves. and and the hairs on its flipping ears tickles my knees!

elephants arent as dock nut as they seems to be. they are wonderfully trained - all its poses are on a command by its trainer. its amazing yet i cant helped but feel a tinge of sadness in an elephant's life.

had dinner at kelong. super duper fresh seafood wiped up!

we had ATV, thats All Terin Vehicle. the first time i get to feel how izzit like driving w/o even having PDL!

A side note, all the charges are in SGD or USD, or don't bother changing the currencies. we are the goon-dos who didnt know that and end up losing more becos of the exchange rate. opps, a lesson learnt!
