25-11-07` P1 orientation. DDR competition?

had my P1 orientation on saturday.

BORING. no introductions for the health care workers were made.

the questions parents asked were about the same. our door was swing open wide to attract 'customers', and indeed our advertising method works, we had approxi 30 parents coming in. *

DDR competition is here! i received the advertising poster in my email. (seriously, i forgot when and why did i joined their mailing list)

Qualifying Rounds will be held on the following dates at the following Zone X centres:
• Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station #B1-04/05/06 - 1 December 2007 (Sat)

The Finals will be held on:
15 December 2007 (Sat) from 3pm to 7pm at AMK Hub 4th level (Outside Zone X).

The Finals: You will have to pay a registration fee of S$10 upon qualifying for the finals.
You will also receive:
• A free limited edition "DDR Supernova 2" T-Shirt each upon registration.
• S$10 free top-up play value TaPZ vouchers on the day of DDR Competition Finals.

Qualifying Rounds:
3 random songs (selected by machine)
qualify for the finals based on the total highest score of 3 songs. Finals: Drawing of lots to select opponents

Preliminary Round: Knock out format
(Based on total highest score of 3 songs. Each match - One selected song per player accompanied by a final random song.)

Quarter-Final Round: Knock out format
(8 players from preliminary)
(Based on total highest score of 3 songs. Each match - One selected song per player accompanied by a final random song.)

Semi-Final Round: Knock out format
(4 players from Quarter-Final)
(Based on total highest score of 3 songs. Each match - One selected song per player accompanied by a final random song.)

Final Round: Knock out format
(2 players from Semi-Final)
(Based on total highest score of 3 songs. One selected song per player accompanied by a final random song.)

Prizes: 1st (Champion) - S$100 TaPZ Play Value Vouchers + Trophy

for it to be judged by the top scores worries me. my scores havent been fantastic especially for the supernova version where i trained only at parkway parade and causeway point. by scores it would also mean that if u can play basic well, u can actually get higher scores than harder levels like difficult and expert.

compeition meaning its a public event, witness by public. this not only adds on to my nerves but also my worry of frequent accidental trips i had during the games.


it is something i would like to do but dont dare to. guys, please advise!
