29-06-07` "pericoronitis"

the weather is freaky these days. scorching hot.

i was woken up by the heat and glare of the sun. i wet my shirt (not the way people wet their pants).

having 'pericoronitis'. in lay man term, inflammation of the gums around a tooth. (peri = around, coro = tooth, nitis = inflammation) its on the distal of my 38 (wisdom tooth of the lower left). the area becomes puffy and tender, a typical sign after cheek biting. i guess it was first initiated by biting on the buccal mucosa when the upper and lower wisdom occludes. probably i grew weight these days and my cheeks becomes more meaty and hence being chewed on. thank god it doesn't give rise to swelling or i'll look awfully.. awful.

my wisdom teeth have been giving me problems. i have no fate to keep my wisdom i supposed.

this is interesting. because when it reaches the stage whereby all the couplings are covered, you dunno and highly impossible to remember which one is yours! therefore, there's a high probability you misjudge and help another to win! hahas, i won the first round on the courtsey of hm! i bet ah tan still don't know which ghost is her. she is VERY BLUR.

Pictionary mania

the one i've played with tuck wei and co the last time at katong. its addictive!

but sad to say with 5 players, we have insufficient members to form teams. ah tan was the one enthu at first, grabbing this game to our chair like a 6 year old, then spreading like a virus, mary became obssessed with the game. she was laughing her head off!

i realised we have corrupted / dirty / R-rates minds.

ah tan went telling me to draw a man. then 'something' between the legs. mary guessed joint, knee blah blahs. the ans? "MALE"

ah tan drew a cactus which looks terribly like the man's organ when view upside down!

during body sculpturing, ah tan made me swing my arms alternately and right leg up bent at 90 degrees. i thought i looked like dog peeing. mary, pq, hm guessed 'dancing, marching, jogging...' then a staff passed by and said 'swimming'. they finally got the ans 'soldiers' OMG, 'swimming'? damm embarasssing!

our back senses failed us. we cant draw by feeling what the other person drew on our backs. well... as DT we were trained to use tactile sensitivity (the 2gs power of detecting calculus) with our fingers, so pardon of our lack of sensations on the back.

it had been a good laughing session. :)

27-06-07` off contacts for another month

i got up with this msg from pearline to call her. initially i thought she had sent to the wrong person. i will be posted to the primary school where she was attached to during the observation. the school is pretty famous within the south zone. its at hougang. i need to get up early to travel. :(

after one month of no-no to contact lenses, i was told to lay off contacts for another one month! OMG. reasons being the scars are still present and currently healing.

i know the infection is serious but not till this extent of being ban for 2 months.

i obediently said 'yes' until i realised my graduation is next week and my prom is next next week!

i am going to break the rules.

24-06-07` "menstrual cycle"

contrary to others and my previous posts, reflections and psycho stuff are seldom touched on. it does not mean i don't think; its more of i don't see a need to. janurary babies think alot maybe because they are born eariler, being physically and mentally older, therefore they have bigger rooms / storage space in their brains for self talk. lame hypothesis :)


the menstrual cycle starts again. i believe my dearest shud know what its referring to. *blink blink to jing. HAAS.

its protraying like a drama, with the histories repeated hence forming the menstrual cycle. predictable.

now upcoming with more characters into the story.

we are the supporting crew who help out in the counselling. when the goodwill went deaf ears, we know when to stop. it wasn't intention but is certainly involuntary. just like the involuntary action of our pupils to constrict when exposed to increased light intensity.

the presumptous nature creates the perception of high self worth. little did the consious knock into the person's mind. maybe it is derived from a low self esteem that triggers the self-defence mechanism.

yes, everyone have their own problems. i read an article that goes like this "if you think your problem is the greatest, think again. an experiment of the roles of 2 different person were exchanged. and the conclusion was clear - the individual still perfers to have their own problems instead of another's."

i have learnt this in my psychology / sociology lectures. the 5 types of people who will never be happy. of which 2 strongly craved into my brain cells - entertainer and victim. as the name implies, entertainer is the one who always think of others, sacrifies in order to make others happy; victim is the one who victimised herself, converging all negative thoughts. hence if one thinks that by victimising herself, she will 'recover', think again. as a natural reaction, people will encourage you out of kindness but in the long run it will become what is known as sympathy. this propels to a stage of people ard you to be mere aquitances instead of friends because they don't enjoy being with you when they have to transform into a counsellor.

of course it is nice to know or feel being admired but please know the percentage of it being a reality. make the line between the possble and impossible clear. like i always show my 'affections' towards ___ , but in reality, i don't think we're possible. jing, ying and the world knows that! (and i don't cling a hope on that, hahas)

while it doesn't hurt to dream, know who you are and who you wanna be. the battle between 'true self' and 'ideal self'.

i am an emo person who manage to contain the negatives to the peripherals of 'when-to' and 'when-not-to'.

i am not the best person who delivered logic. i have many problems on hand too, most of which i do not wish to involve others in the listening. the ones who i pour out will be the selected few. you can choose to have many good friends or a few best friends. i have chosen the latter because i am more comfortable in divulging to a small group.

i will be a good listener if you proved your worth as a friend.

beneath every happy face, there is misery beyond.

attached to Zhong hua pri school. The senior there is really nice! kept feeding me with food like i'm her pet. haas. from tidbits she bought from Japan, to fruits she brought from home.
i would say she is more enthu to teach than i was willing to learn.
had a rough idea of the DOs and DONTs as well as the fundaments to our apprasials.
briefly know how to recover our claims (impt!), take leave. understand what is required of us in the talks. the kindergarden talks, parents orientation, primary one and primary five. watched the vcds and materials. i realised that we need to be lively with singing and actions when doing the talks for the preschoolers. amused for the fact that we are gonna be entertainers!

Was assisting until the last 2 days when i was posted to different schools. at XingHua and PLMGS, i was reading magazines. LOL. laziness got the better of me and the seniors there are pretty much used to working alone, with me as an addition will just break their momentum. Glad that i have Futian as companion in PLMGS. i learnt how to play 'Battleship'. LOL.

the seniors there are almost the same channel as us, they aren't stoic and law-by-law as i imagined. they think like us or rather, we think like them. implying we've fallen into the aunty category.

people tends to turn to mouth exercise when she has nothing to do. look at the list i have eaten within a day; intermittenly, no specific time zone:

• a packet of maggie mee
• a bowl of porridge
• chocolates
• 4 pieces of prata
• 2 glasses of soya milk
• 2 apples
• 2 mini packets of twisties

had a kbox with jing, ying, xue, maine at marina sq yesterday.

a nice, loud, big bang singing aloud session. :)

medical checkup at raffles hospital.

besides, the normal physical examinations (height and weight, eyesight, colourblind test), there's urine test, x-rays of the chest as well as a check by a doctor.

i forgot to collect the urine sample on my first attempt to the ladies. oepps.. my mind was floating somewhere else when i peed. lucky that i am a toilet person.

for the x-ray, u have to go topless and change into a robe provided by the hospital. so there i was, wearing the scrub-blue robe looking like someone ready for spa with an undeniable awkward expression on my face.

glad i was there. the standards of the clinics will not be on par.

17-06-07` joe's birthday celebration

after postponed for 2 weeks, we finally had a gathering at Joaqirum for joe's belated birthday.

nice buffet! from the feast, i came to this conclusion- the "gay" couple (tuck wei, shi xing) has XL appetite; jing and i has L; joe M; xue and ying S.

had some drinks at the bar oppo suntec. light beers, whiskey and tequila were the orders for our table.

hope the belated b'day boy enjoyed his night out!

went back school to collect my graduation robe with pq on sat. sad to know that our admin cards are invalid now though we arent the official grads of nyp yet.

then jing was kind enough to bring me to the wing tai sales despite she just went the day before. my first trip to a warehouse sale! gotta thank my luck stars that the bus 53 which goes to wing tai passes xing hua pri school. that shall save much of my worries and embarrassment for locating the bus stop for the school before the reporting time at 8am next week!

we had n.y.d.c. for dinner. mushroom and ham baked rice is now added to my list of favorites!

posted to the primary schools - zhong hua; xing hua for this 2 weeks observation.

havent figured out where exactly the place is but according to the wisemen, its a bus stop or two after paya lebar methodist girls (where i formerly attached to, in my year one). was breaking out a sweat when people mentioned its at tampines.

zhong hua pri, the mother school for miao and ying. hahas, next to my beloved peicai. absolutely had no problem in finding the location. the transport is made easy by foot. was hysterically jumping for joy when i came to know its gonna be my second home for the next 2 weeks.

overwhelmed by the expectations, for the matter-o-fact, i was glad to have the 2 years bond instead of the 3 years.

hearty chat with jing at 24hrs prata shop from 11pm to 4am! like jing said 'people ard us kept changing', meaning we're the sole survivors there. lol. when we billed, the uncle (who looks terribly like tuck wei) said we sat there from 930pm till 4am! hhahas. though the uncle didnt have good time concept, he was right for saying so as we sat there like 2 statues yucking away that seems forever.

through the girls' talk, i managed to prompt jing to gimme the answers to her quiz! yupps, now i would definately do better on the next attempt. *cheating

nothing beats the plain luxury of having a heart to heart, eye to eye girlie chit-chat in the late night. :)

on the second day to my 'raw' com, 5 infections were detected. it certainly looks like money on anti-virus is inevitable, especially for an IT geek who seriously need a protection over her beloved com.

07-06-07` trojan horse virus

my com crashed on me. i don't have a pair of good hands on electronics but..

the memory and start up files were infected with "Trojan Horse" virus.

i was browsing one of the spree site when my avast! warning alarm sets off. after maneovuring with the configurations, i thought everything is back to norm. until the auto shut down came in while i was watching anime on youtube.

the nightmare starts. my com went 'aye-ha!' cycle by restarting the system again and again. never had the chance to start the user. swore not to shame my bro who is an IT survy, i tried to fix the problem myself. yes. managed to get into the safe mode and restart with the system scanning for the virus. i deleted all the infected files. thinking, 'ah, this should do the trick!'. but i was wrong big time. even though now i am able to start the windows, the avast! alarm never stops. the siren keeps going indicating the traces of viruses present in the files which i had 'deleted' them. no clue how it ends up like this but, it is like this.

i have decided to store selected precious files into my thumby and go on with the reformat. sudden evacuation.

another bad news flew in. the attachment program starts on mon. this coincidentality coincides with the conversation i had with cady another day on msn, 'they might just inform us 3 days before starting. nyp and hpb are known for being last minute.' true to the statement, the authorities only given us 3 days notice.

now i have to come up with a way to get rid of the reds in my mane, within 3 days.


freaked out.

06-06-07` david strassman dvd

was practically banging my head, pulling my hair, punching my fist against my table top in the attempt to successfully buy the david strassman dvd online from ebay.

the damm, cursed dvd that is only available in Australia and probably within the States.

first, was figuring the steps for buying things from ebay.

then muddled my way through the payment method. it incurs shipping fees, exchanged rates which is beyond my understanding.

the fiddling and figuring took me 2 days, and 2 full days of head banging and hair pulling and fist punching.

had problems with paypal. my credit card was assigned to another account. contacted the administrator and resolved the issue.

and what could be worse than net hanging and lagging on top of all the frustrations? the page literally hang on me while i make the payment. RISK of paying double or triple.

i am asking myself why am i doing this. being responsible? craps.

his celebrations turned out to be next next week instead due to the present test period of his members.

was seriously deprived of entertainment after i finished the remaining 20 ss episodes within a single day.

in the attempt to keep the recent neoprints into my 'neoprint pouch', i was reminded of ying's words and did a brief comparison of us in the past and now. yupps, true to the statement, i realised i've changed - my face became rounder and actions not as wild as before. the power of aging has indeed subconciously tamed me into a well mannered lady who behaves herself in front of the camera. thats a sad thing to know!

inspired by our friendly craft master 'abracraftdabra', i picked up my felt cloth, pencil, and scissors and began making something for myself. this is my creation.

it looks 'ooooook~' if u dont fuss about the ears which look incredibly off to me and yet i cant figure out why. probably the contours?

took pictures of my lab work before it goes MIA under my care. or to say to enrich my friends to know more abt 'dental hygiene and therapy' course.

the wax carving in year one. from a block of wax, we were given measurements in order to get the shape, size and proportion of a tooth right. from the left, its an incisor, canine and premolar (the one thats usually extracted when u do braces). i did quite badly and received cynical remarks from Mrs Quek and yes, it looks like twisties to me.

the silver / black things are the fillings. first we drill then we put a cement (optional - only if too deep), and lastly fill with that silver material.

the baby teeth set. its similar to the adults.
