31-05-13' Last Day of May

This marks the end of another month. We are going into the later half of the year.

:) GSS is here!

:( Major changes and uncertainties in life.

*

The social and moral obligations bind people from their true selves. In order not to be labelled as deviation, we are doing what is ought is right, even if we know that it is not what an individual truly desired.

One could aspire to be a painter but under the social pressure of 'better prospects', goes into accounting.

One could marry to girlfriend or boyfriend because family and friends are 'expecting' them to. Regardless either party has lost faith or realize its not going to work out. Diving into marriage, streaming by the 'flow' or the norm.

Aren't we all puppets of the society we created? Being internalized by the society yet at the same time, creating the driving forces to shape us who we are.

The vicious circle of dialectics.

22-05-13' DDR VS 5KM

One day of DDR left me crippled for 3 days. The muscle aches were so intense that I couldn't move about without feeling sore.

Compared that with 5KM, which is obviously 'easier' on my muscles and apparently less effective. I should hit the arcade more. It's likely to be more effective in toning than going to the gym. *chuckles

21-05-13' Ben-10?

I thought I'd seen Ben-10 or at least someone who looks like him at Abercrombie yesterday.

The exam weeks made me appreciate the freedom now.

I can breathe, sleep better.

Welcome back on earth.

15-05-13' Sociology :|

Closed my first year exam with Sociology as my last paper. The stress was tremendous that I haven't been sleeping well. I tend to be floating and jerked up once a while within a couple of hours. I knew I didn't do well for the previous papers and I couldn't fail this; because Sunny is not teaching socio anymore.

It was tough with the time management. It's either I have time to think or I have time to write. Hard to strike a balance. I have done what I could, with my cold, trembling hands, sprinting towards the last 10mins though it is clear that I'm only attempting to increase the length without much substance.

Now it's officially school over! Until June when we enroll for year 2.

11-05-13' My mom's funny perception

Last night, my mom cheekily wanted me to see a picture from the newspapers. The picture shows a few portraits of students, an advert for JCU.

She hinged, 'Hey, you see this'.

I thought it is a picture with my kindergarten or primary school friends, whom I don't remember.

Then she said, 'There, like your that one loh! Look alike hor?'

I spent some time reflecting. Then I ended up with an 'orh'.

My mom probably has a better image than I did.

10-05-13' IBM :(

Busted. The things I studied didn't came out exactly in IBM. Oh well...

09-05-13' Unlucky huh?

Okay, I jumped out of bed this morning in fright because I was late to prepare breakfast for Cal as promised.

I boiled water to heat up the chicken essence for him and then the power tripped. It happened thrice until we traced the source to the kettle.

I went downstairs for my favorite pork rib noodles but it was closed. So I settled for my regular ban mian next to the stall. Then I realised the taste was different (it wasn't handmade anymore, sigh) and the previous lady boss wasn't manning the stall anymore.

I tried to study but I couldn't get anything into my head. It's like bouncing off from my brain, automatically.

I was studying at night when the power tripped again. Imagine my shock when I was memorizing hard and suddenly it blacked out and I was alone in my room, door closed. My family was thrown into a frenzy then I told them like an electrical veteran that its likely due to the kettle and yes, that's the root cause- my bro was boiling water. Lol. Now you see my entire family loves boiling water.

I went for my jog and had diarrhea immediately after I stepped into my house. Lucky, or is it not?

Okay, I have 1/2 of my notes uncovered and I have less than 2 hours before bedtime. Regretfully, I am incorrigible and am still blogging. Somehow, I feel that I need to let it out, and I'm glad that I did.

07-05-13' Safety message for tracks

Dear Mr Frog/Toad & Snails,

For your own safety, please do not cross the platform stone barricade into the tracks. I nearly bounced on one of your froggy friends!

A snail noted will be one snail save. But sorry froggy pals, I don't have the courage to pick you up with my hand or dribble you back with my foot. Please leave the spirits of explorer till past mid-night, for your own safety.

05-05-13' Collagen the culprit?

My colleague told me she was suspecting that by taking collagen, it makes you put on weight. Not scientifically proven, since no collagen manufacturing would want to put their heads on the chopping board, but one could relate the compound of fats and collagen as similar with the difference likely to be the structuring of cells.

I can't helped but pinning my recent chubby looks on that especially after she mentioned.

My manager has been taking collagen for years. She has perfect complexion, giving credits to being an avid SK-II fan as well. She restricts her diet to no carbohydrate after 6pm. She's gorgeous and could see no signs of being a mother of 2. I was emulating after her to get her complexion but I might be missing cue on putting on weight. She does has a little of baby fats which makes her looks younger. The fats on me are elderly fats and I am aging older than I am.

It has been close to a year since I've been taking that supplement. And I'm wearing it off now. Hopefully the complex 'fats' cells will normalise again. Running 4km everyday for 4 days with a lighter diet and no change in weight makes me worried. It could be medical history next.

05-05-13' Happy Mothers' Day!

The same rain around the same time, last week, symbolizes something for me.

It was the moment.

Happy Mothers' Day!

It's the second Sunday of May. I thought it ought to be celebrated more extravagant, but this year it seems to tone down. Maybe many are amidst of preparing for exams, maybe others for the voting in Malaysia.

No matter where you are or what you are doing, think of your mom. Drop the things on hand, even for awhile, to appreciate what your mom has done for you.

03-05-13' Ben

Ben Ben Ben Ben Ben Ben Ben

03-05-2013' Stats

Battlefield heats up with exams.

The crowd in expo is unbelievable. As much as u'd expect in a concert.

Econs paper was considered manageable, thank heavens. Now start praying hard to get a nice examiner.

I had the same nightmare I did for Stats during Prelims. So much so that I went hysterical flipping the paper, psyching myself that its only a dream and as though it would turn out to be one. Goodness, after half the time gone, I spent 10mins (that's 10% of the total length of time for the paper) only flipping the pages because I don't know how to do question 3, or question 4 and I left with a good number of others in front blank. I was on the verge of tears, as silly as it sounds, for someone to burst out crying during an examination since most people does it after. I knew what I would do if I have a penknife with me.

I know I have to repeat this paper again, sigh.

I only get my comfort after Calvin said he did neither question 3 nor 4 which carries 25 marks. We shall repeat together, haha.
