23.05.09` orthodontic tx

Started my orthodontic treatment. I know its painful but I didin't know it hurts so much. The teeth are being pulled sideways and extremely tender to touch. It feels like the PDL are weakening causing the teeth to gain more mobility. It was until a week later did the pain ceased. Its not apparant that shifting has taken place but the contacts between the anteriors are different now. A sigh of relief alas.

I have read from a dental forum that this person undergoing orthodontic tx at a dental clinic. One of the tooth eventually died given by the signs of root resorbing and requires RCT. However that RCT eventually failed and has to resort to remove the root stump surgically. It struck to me how risky orthodontic can be, especially if done by a general dentist.
