spent my xmas with jing, ying, tuck wei, joe.

me and jing each got a GUESS belt. we sucuumb to the temptation of the 50% sale. its her who initially thinking of buying but got me influenced to buy with her too. hers baby blue; mine pink. same design but different colours. upholding our aunty spirit, we got different colours so that we exchange; and we purposely buy one with the BIG G logo buckle head with small wordings 'GUESS' inside. so that others can tell the brand. lols!

met ying, tuck wei and joe later after their work and that is during my dinner cum supper at kfc. i find that we can be highly annoying to the ppl ard us - on and off we got stares frm other tables when we got a lil hyper in our conversation. that day is the highest record since last 2 years that i laugh until cry that much. i havent been that relax in such a long time.

wheee! tuck wei is gonna enter the super band contest! i have confidence in him that he'll make tru the rounds given his jay-like calibre. we expericed his 'live' singing in k box before, it was like.. wala! hees, i gonna be his manager and starts taxing every of his fans 50 cents for per photo taken! not forgetting his pom-pom girls, jing and ying. (modern ah choo, ah hua with the matchsticks)
looking forward to another get tgt on new year's eve countdown.

25-12-05` xmas!

m e r r y x m a s !!

had been having clinics everyday for the past week, day in day out doing the same things, walking the same paveways, taking almost the same trains, seeing the same people in the station. perhaps this is the working life. BORING..
well, the 'excitement' will be when i screw things up or when i was doing a cuspal (which is acknowlegded by dr v that its a BIG AMALGAM instead of THAT cuspal) with 1/2 of the tooth gone, it takes lots of imagination to carve back the anatomy. esp i have such poor photographic memory. 2 of them - 85 was disastrous; 55 is merely ok. that has to owe to dr chang who guided me step by step, gimme the confidence when he said - everything has got to be a start, even though i told him i'm not very confident in doing the amalgam and we only did ONCE in sch. (and that one isnt what i did in sch too.) when he came back and checked, he said 'see, u can do it' i was like.. pengz

whee! gonns see jing and all for xmas! seeing her is like seeing a celebrity coz she's always so busy! haas, but i think being busy is a good thing =)

17-12-05` escape. mid-night sales

was with ying this morning to escape to fill up the job application form. haas. it was the security guard who passed us the form. admin cum security?

i squeezed my way through from bugis, in the trains, at orchard, along wisma to taka, practically everywhere there's human jam. ppl grabbing for xmas gifts and blahs. queues were real long, which pose an excuse to help me save money on buying unecessary stuff. a blessing in disguise u can say.

50% sale in MNG. ppl were simply tossing the tops around. it takes a minute for the sales girl to fold the clothings and a sec for ppl to ransack. pity those girls. esp i'm one of the ppl. hey, but i did tried to fold back, just that they find that its not up to THEIR standard.

midnight sales at suntec. we were DROWNED by the crowd AGAIN. though we didnt catch any of the special deals furing the midnight sales we were engulfed by ppl. tough luck on picking that place.

i had already spent 1/2 of this month's allowance on a single day. everyone's b'days, xmas presents is still on the waiting list. shucks

never seen a man with such arrogance. and the typical 'last to come, first to leave' kind. 'the heaven and the earth' is the most apt pharse to describe.
tried to be humble yet others might see that u're dumb.
its comforting to know there's ppl who cares. thanks all who concern esp pear for the msg. i'm alright, seriously. its the concern part which stung my eyes. i'll be dancing and goofy-ing around tml, after a good night sleep. =)

10-12-05` happy birthday n70

had been on my toes on n70 these days. dying to get a phone with mp3 player to keep me company while on the way to outram. the price remains steep. 838 -> 688. looking for roadshows in which harbours a higher chance of getting it at a cheaper rate. finally spot one by flipping through the new paper. only when we got there did we realise that there only featured sony erri phones. went to the hello shop near there and sth lit my eyes. 538. yupps. this is it. its real by luck that is the only one having that price.

found out that i didnt really like the phone afterall. perhaps its a huge mistake by my part. obsession.

i'm tired. vexed.

once there's a crackline in ur tooth, no matter how u try to forget, hide or restore it, u know its there. its there charted in the odontogram. its there known to the patient and the operator.

5-12-05 -- 9-12-05` H-P-B

H-P-B the you know where
Every mon - fri, 8 - 5.30 (only god bless day is Friday - we got 30 MINS off earlier -_-"). Basically what we've been doing is, PART I - morning 6 plus get our lazy bums and bodies up, wash up and go work. PART II – treat patients; when no pt, tiao kah and go ard finding ppl to chit - chat, gossip, kay - po or whatever u call it. PART III – got home, watch tv, eat and sleep. That completes the day and the whole cycle starts again. The only interesting part is to decide what to eat everyday. Haas, amidst all, its ms tan who brightens up my day. She's like a fairy god mother too real to be. Its not hard to visualize her having wings on her back, ringing the X'MAS BELL twice from the stationary box. Its so so so wahaha when I suddenly heard yus saying to one of his patient. "alright! Very good!" in that exact tone that rings a bell, struck a resemblance to.. well, ask him to demo live next time and u guys shall know. The power of 'nuture' – the environment moulds us what we are. lols.
Phew x2… well actually come to think of it, I didn't actually get a lot of patients, hehe contradicting myself, it's the waiting and nothing to do that’s boring me to death. – no eating. No sleeping. No reading of anything irrelevant to dental. (no driving manuals and newspapers). Soon 'no talking' law shall be pass too. OH NO!!
Back to the topic, Found that I only did bout at most one patient a day, gosh!! At this rate, how am I going to reach my quota? Esp the cases I had my hands on are SAP. Sealants or cons? Nopes. people out there who heard my cries of distress please help me out!! Lol.

3-12-05` end of NDC

my pt today had high bld pressure, parkinson disease, drug allergy: indomethicin, on drugs for high bld pressure, cholesterol, parkinson. radiotherapy due to nasopharyngeal carcinoma - reduced salivary flow.
parkinson disease - he experienced muscle tension so he cant keep his mouth open for too long. i'll have to use a mouth bite for him to bite on. that means i can only do E&D on either left or right side at one go. manual dexterity on brushing.
decrease salivary flow - his lips dry up pretty fast and i'll have to constantly dap his lips with water to prevent cracking. he's caries prone and had many restorations done. some of which had fractured off tgt with the cusp. quite a number of tooth lost accounts for the adjacent teeth to rotate and tilt.
however his gingivitis score isnt that bad. just that gingiva recession is quite bad.
he's pretty concern with his dry mouth, oral condition and asked lots of questions. probably because as u get older, u'll be glad to have someone to talk to. he chew on ricola sweets to stimulate salivary flow. how smart.

because of all the these and that factors, i spent all the 2nd session doing just E&D. Dr tan was 'awed' by that. she's utterly disgusted by me. 2 hrs on E&D. 'oh great, u did a very "thorough" E&D. u guys did "wonders".' it looks to me that she gonna vomit blood and tender her resignation the next thing in the morning. i'm guilt ridden. for a moment i'm glad that i'm bonded so i don have to be a hygienist but on the second tot, i regreted. being a therapist, looking at kiddies would be more difficult.
learnt how to differentiate crown and bridges. through the hard way.
